Flying Colours
Flying Colours allows children to use various mediums to provide an alternate form of expression. In this fun, safe space, children with delay's and disability can explore their self identity while making social connections, using art as a mode to achieve therapy goals. The group seeks to foster inclusion, encourage community participation, and develop art skills, promote personal growth, emotional well-being, and self-expression that translate into real-world experiences and therapeutic outcomes such as improved confidence, reduced stress, and a stronger sense of identity. We also look at problem solving skills, team work activities, developing processes and ideas and refining fine motor skills whilst working on self esteem and confidence.
Children will be grouped according to their ages and interests and the program will run for the duration of the School Term.
The group is run by an Occupational Therapist and Art Teacher and focuses on the following:
-

-

-
