Games Club

Flying Start Children’s Therapy offers an inclusive games club designed for children to come and connect with their peers in a supportive and safe environment. The group will be facilitated by an Occupational Therapist and/or Speech Pathologist and a therapy assistant depending on numbers.

The group can be funded through NDIS funding or privately funded and occurs onsite in our clinic rooms in Torquay.

Along with learning new games and making new friends, children will also learn or consolidate skills such as:

• Sharing

• Taking Turns

• Negotiating

• Team work

• Learning appropriate ways to win and lose

• Emotional and self regulation skills

• Play development and play skills

• Building resilience and flexibility

• Sensory Regulation

 

We are currently receiving expressions of interest for children from 5 – 12 years of age and will group children according to age and skill level and similar peer interests depending on the demand.
