Playground Pals

Helping your child navigate the social world of the playground!

Our Playground Pals group therapy program is designed to support preschool-aged children in developing essential social skills for a smooth transition to school. Using a neuro-affirming lens through fun, interactive play-based activities, children will practice turn-taking, sharing, making friends, handling conflicts, and building confidence in social settings. Led by therapists with years of experience working with children, this small-group program provides a safe and supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and feel prepared for the exciting world of school playgrounds.

  • Turn-Taking & Sharing – Fun games and activities to encourage cooperation.

  • Making Friends – Practicing introductions, joining in play, and building friendships.

  • Managing Big Feelings – Helping children navigate frustration, disappointment, and excitement.

  • Conflict Resolution – Learning to solve problems and communicate effectively.

  • Confidence Building – Encouraging self-expression and assertiveness in social situations.

  • Playground Readiness – Role-playing common playground scenarios to prepare for school.

  • Parent Tips & Strategies – Guidance on how to reinforce social skills at home.
